Starzz: Fan-Engagement
What if soccer fans could invest in their favorite players? Soccer is not only a popular sport, but also a relevant industry.
The newly founded start-up Starzz Germany has dedicated itself to giving fans a stake in the success of soccer players. The company acquires image rights from top players and enables investments in them. This concept is intended to create a completely new fan experience: invested fans can get in direct contact with their stars, take part in surveys and join exclusive streams. With the success of the players, investors will also be able to participate in possible revenues from the image rights.
The founder Marco Kowalewski is not only a soccer enthusiast, but has also been active in the Web3 environment for several years. This is how the founder came up with the idea of using blockchain technology to bring fans and players closer together.
The platform is set to go live in 2024 and offer the first image rights before additional features follow next year.
