We spoke with founder Joachim Steffen to learn more about their vision. When was the company founded?

Howly Bowly was founded in 2022 and has been on the market since early summer 2023.

What kind of service do you offer?

We are a pet-tech startup and deliver freshly cooked, highest quality dog food without chemicals and additives directly through convenient subscription shipping at www.howly-bowly.de. We aim to help dogs lead healthier and longer lives. Our dog nutrition is precisely tailored to the needs of each individual dog.

How did you come up with the idea for your product?

After our beloved furry friend "Bella" fell ill, we decided to replace commercially produced dog food with a diet made from natural and high-quality ingredients. With a balanced, varied, and freshly prepared diet, we were able to restore "Bella" to full health within a few months. This positive result was the catalyst for the founding of Howly Bowly. We were aware that many dogs could have similar problems to our Bella.

During this time, I, Joachim, completed training as an animal nutrition consultant to develop a deeper understanding of the nutritional needs of dogs. From this experience, our digital platform for individual dog nutrition was born. Conventional dog food often does not consider the individual needs of each dog.

How did you become aware of Tokenize.it?

Through a recommendation from our network while we were in the process of learning about tokenized assets in general.

Can you explain the motivation behind choosing this method of capital acquisition?

In our initial seed round, we specifically established two small investment companies to also involve smaller investors. With Tokenize.it, this is now much easier and more flexible. Moreover, at the moment, it is also an innovative financing instrument that we as a young company are happy to embrace and support.

Could you elaborate on the response from your investors regarding the introduction of the GmbH Token?

That is received very well as a tool, because it's significantly easier for all parties involved compared to traditional participation. Boris Herzog - one of our first investors from last year, who has now also bought additional tokens - said: "It took just three or four clicks, a few inputs, and a subsequent transfer, a matter of five minutes; very good!"
